The Yale Department of Urology will offer a one-year clinical fellowship in urologic oncology starting July 1, 2018.
Yale Cancer Center at Smilow Cancer Hospital is a NCI comprehensive cancer center. The fellow will participate in weekly multidisciplinary conferences, participate in evaluation, management and surgery on the full range of GU oncology problems, and be involved with resident education. It is expected that the fellow will become facile with minimally invasive, robotic and open surgical approaches. The fellow is expected to participate in research and academic productivity is expected. Research opportunities are available in MRI-USG Fusion targeted prostate biopsy, focal ablation for prostate cancer,genetic predisposition to renal cancer, translational research in renal cancer, systemic therapy clinical trials, and comparative effectiveness and health outcomes research.
The candidate will be a BC/BE urologist who has completed an ACGME accredited urology residency program and be eligible for licensure in the State of Connecticut. Applications to our program will be reviewed on a continuing basis.
