This application is intended for male patients with urinary medical complaints to track their bladder function on a day-to-day basis. Patients can add inputs and outputs throughout the day and then review a summary page that includes total inputs/outputs along with leaks and pads used. There is also a section where patients can track their AUA score. Patients can obtain a new AUA score by performing the survey within the app and can compare it with older ones to see how he is progressing. Patients can also track their PSA. All of this information can then be emailed to the patient’s healthcare provider or to a home computer.
Sexiness of Interface/Ease of Use:
This app has a very simple and easy-to-use interface. It is extremely intuitive and I found it easy and enjoyable to move back and forth between the different sections and information contained within the app. It would be easy to operate for even the most novice iPhone user. I very much liked this apps interface.
Information Quality:
The information contained within this app is perfect for the intended audience and makes it very easy for patients to log their daily inputs/outputs/leaks/pads used to track their bladder function over time. The app also allow patients to check their AUA scores at home and enter/track their PSA levels. This app would also be very useful for healthcare providers as patients could email information to their healthcare providers or could show their healthcare provider their daily logs/AUA scores/PSA levels over time. This may help their healthcare provider get a better understanding of their bladder function over time or in response to medical/surgical intervention.
The Skinny:
Nice app for tracking bladder function and PSA levels in between visits to the doctor. Makes performing a bladder diary very easy and allows for the patient to easily track their progress. Also allows patients to check/track AUA score and email information to their healthcare provider.
